McCain Nation events are informal, grassroots “gatherings” attended by supporters of John McCain with virtually no cost to the host or those in attendance and are not official John McCain 2008 events. The McCain Campaign reserves the right to review and edit McCain Nation postings as the Campaign deems appropriate.

To comply with federal law, McCain Nation events hosted at a person’s home must be paid for by the person hosting the event and the person cannot spend more than a total of $1,000 per election on in-home McCain House Party expenses. If an event is held in a restaurant or other public place, individuals must pay for their own food and drinks.

You may not charge admission or request donations in order to attend.

Individuals hosting a McCain Nation event may not accept any contributions other than those made through the McCain Campaign website.

Contributions are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes.
